# 4 COVID-19 Response Plan sent 3/16/20 IEP/504/Instruction/Mental Health
COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN STUDENTS WITH 504 PLANS, INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLANS, RELATED SERVICES, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
The CDC has issued interim guidance to help administrators of public and private childcare programs and K–12 schools plan for and prevent the spread of COVID-19 among students and staff. The well-being of your student and continuity of his/her education is our top priority. We understand that an interruption of services for our students with special needs can be particularly detrimental and want to support you in every way possible during this difficult time. Please review the below information. While options for distance learning will never replace in-person contact with your intervention specialist, counselor, or teacher we understand that at this time, that is not possible. Teachers will be providing distance learning opportunities to students (excluding the week of spring break) until school resumes on April 6th. Should this break from school continue longer than 3 weeks, further information will be communicated to parents.
If you have any concerns specific to your child and their Special Education Services or unique needs that are unable to be answered by your intervention specialist, please contact me directly at email@example.com (preferred) or 440-354-5400 x 200 (please leave a message). I will be picking up voicemails daily.
