All state tests are completed on school issued chromebooks.  Please make sure that your child checks their chromebook for any new updates in the settings.  If there is an update, please have your child run it and then shut down their chromebook and restart. Students should be on time to school each day with a fully charged chromebook with the power cord.  Please make every effort to schedule appointments outside of the testing window.

Harding Electronic Device Policy During Ohio State & National Assessments

The prohibited use of devices (including, but not limited to, cell phones, smartwatches, Airpods and other wi-fi enabled, non-testing devices) is in effect from the time students are admitted to their testing room until they are dismissed at the end of the test, including break times. Specifically:

•Students may not handle or access a cell phone or any electronic device at any time in the testing room or during break times (including going to the restroom).

•All devices, including cell phones and wearable devices, including Airpods, must be turned off and placed outside of the testing location.  Test administrators will collect all items once students have entered testing locations.

• Listening to music while actively testing is not permitted and doing so can be grounds for an assessment invalidation.

•Students who use an electronic device for medical purposes (for example, glucose monitoring or hearing aid) may have access to the device during testing. The device should only support the student during testing for medical reasons.

• Students will be permitted to use electronic devices after testing outside the testing location once testing has been completed.

•If students access a device or it activates or alarms in the testing room or during break times, they will be dismissed, their test may not be scored, and their phone or device may be taken away.

Students who fail to adhere to the guidelines set forth will be dismissed from the testing location, their test will not be scored and it can be invalidated, and their device will be confiscated. Students may also be subject to other school penalties. Failure in completing necessary state assessments may also put students behind on their graduation track.
