Teacher Sue Tenon awarded 2024 Fund for Teachers Innovation Circle Grant
Skipper Spotlight!
Susan Tenon has been teaching at Harding High School for the last 23 years - long enough to now have her former students’ children in class! During her free time, she likes to travel, and most recently, has been awarded the 2024 Fund for Teachers Innovation Circle, Advancing Student-Centered Learning, grant. After attending a diverse texts conference in Bemidji, MN in July, she’ll travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for the grant.
If Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, Manitoba is the land of 100,000 lakes. While in Winnipeg, Ms. Tenon will study how the Indigenous people of Canada protect and preserve their freshwater resources. This fall, she'll return and collaborate with teachers from across the country to design and implement an innovative learning project for her students.
