Fairport Harbor Schools Hosts Final Walk-Through of McKinley Elementary and Harding High Schools

Fairport Harbor, OH – September 10, 2024 – In honor of Fairport Harbor Schools' rich legacy, alumni, community members, and the public were invited to "Skippers Passage," a final walk-through of McKinley Elementary and Harding High Schools before their official closure. The event took place on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

This memorable occasion, made possible by the collective efforts of our alumni, community members, and the public, offered attendees a unique opportunity to walk the halls of these iconic schools one last time, reconnect with old friends, sign the construction beam for the new project, and reminisce about the countless memories made within these walls. Your contributions to the history of these schools are invaluable. Both schools have long been cornerstones of the Fairport Harbor community, educating generations and serving countless families.

We are deeply grateful to the many alumni and community members who joined us in celebrating the proud history of McKinley Elementary and Harding High as they transition to a new phase. Your support and participation are a testament to the strong bonds that these schools have fostered over the years. With preparations underway for the move to the district's new PreK-12 campus, currently under construction, we look forward to your continued involvement.
