Our students recently participated in the Effective Leadership Academy hosted by the Lake County Leadership Conference (sponsored by Rise Above Lake and Geauga County Drug-Free Coalition).
This engaging conference included interactive activities and games designed to help students build valuable leadership and workforce readiness skills, including Team building, Mindset, First Impressions and Communication.
As part of the Drug-Free Communities grant, students involved in the Leadership Academy took on an active role in supporting positive change within their schools and community. Through this program, worked to educate their peers about the risks of substance use, inform others by sharing facts and resources, and advocate for healthier, safer choices. By developing these leadership skills, students not only strengthen their own voices but also inspire others to make positive decisions that contribute to a stronger, drug-free community.
