Restart Plan Modification/Change for 4th Grading Period

    Dear Fairport Families,

The Fairport Harbor Restart Committee reconvened on March 25, 2021, to evaluate our education plan and make modifications allowed because of the newly released guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Lake County Health Department regarding social distancing. Thank you to all who contributed and provided input during the planning process.

All In-Person learners will follow a five (5) days a week schedule, starting Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Students who wish to remain on remote instruction may still do so. Office hours will still be maintained for remote learners.

This change should remain in effect for the remainder of the 20-21 school year. The arrival and dismissal times will remain the same as they are now: McKinley 8:55 a.m. to 1:40 p.m., Harding 9:00 a.m. to 2:12 p.m.

As we increase our in-person learning, it is essential not to let your guard down. The District will continue to follow all health and safety protocols that we implemented back in September.

If you can please get the word out to the students in your school districts and/ or pass this information along to anyone you believe may be interested in the opportunity we would greatly appreciate it. LAB-Learning About Business at Lake Erie College Deadline to apply 4/30/21

    Current Sophomore or Junior,
Learning About Business (LAB) is an award-winning, total-immersion interactive business camp for high school sophomores and juniors. This one-week camp is held on the campus of Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. The next camp will be held Sunday, June 13th through Friday, June 18th, 2021. In the event that the in person camp cannot be held due to the pandemic, LAB Week will be conducted virtually during this same time period. Participants in LAB Week 2021 are also eligible to earn three college credits and earn the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal for their high school diploma.
Instructors are area professionals and business leaders - guiding the students through six days of teamwork, self-discovery, communication, competition, gamesmanship and entrepreneurial creativity. LAB Week offers participants a week away from home with other high school students on a college campus-a chance to make life-long friends and to have a better understanding of business, both corporate and entrepreneurial.
LAB is looking for future leaders -- young men and women who seek unique challenges and experiences - young men and women who want to expand their academic skills to a world view.
LAB Week provides an opportunity to explore the basics of running a business and make executive-level decisions in a computer-simulation environment where teams of students form and run a virtual drone manufacturing company.
